Back in October,
we blogged about La Farine Bakery at 6323 College Avenue near Alcatraz in north Oakland.
La Farine is amazing during the holidays. There is a line out the door and around the corner for people to pick up one of their Buche de Noel cakes (log-style chocolate mousse cakes frosted with chocolate buttercream). They are well worth the wait and have become one of our holiday traditions; we will be eating one at our X-Mas feast tomorrow.
