The old doorbell

I came home a few days ago and the "new" doorbell -- which was taped to the old doorbell -- was on the ground.  I felt like crying as I finally had thought the problem was fixed by placing a new doorbell on the old one.  When we finally resolve this problem, I'll update what actually worked!

You can see the new smaller white wireless doorbell button sitting on top of the old yellow large one.

The bottom line - wireless doorbells are just NOT the way to go.  We're going to have to just wire up a regular doorbell.  Wish we had done that before we moved in (even better - wish the prior owners had wired one up).
