Meijer Gardens, Grand Rapids, MI - a horticulture lovers paradise!

I've had several people tell me about Meijer Gardens over the past few years, and until I went and saw the place myself, had no idea how gorgeous the place is!  Is a horticulture lovers dream come true.  My son spent about and hour and a half there yesterday and barely scratched the surface of all the things we could see.  We spent most of the time in the children's garden area which had a huge tree house, sand play area, children's sensory garden, and area with sculptures, and more.  Also, we went to a victorian themed garden area, a tropical garden area, and a desert area.  Next time I want to take the train which goes around the whole garden.

A wonderful time to come to Meijer Gardens is around Christmas, this year they are doing "Christmas and Holiday Traditions Around The World," and are featuring horse drawn carriages and will have models of historic homes from the area.
