An Affordable Place to Buy a Historic Home

Where can you actually afford to buy a historic, beautiful home?  Indian Village neighborhood in Detroit, Michigan is actually affordable! I have to admit I fantasize about moving there and buying one of the gorgeous historic homes for a reasonable price, joining the Indian Village garden club, and sending my son to the Waldorf school in the area.
