Favorite bakery in Oakland- Sweet Bar Bakery

My son and I are at Sweet Bar Bakery in Oakland, CA. It is my son’s favorite place for chocolate in the entire San Francisco Bay Area! I like the gluten free chocolate dried cherry raisin cookies!

About Our Blog

In 2003, we abandoned apartment living. Rejecting the wild prices of plain looking ranch-style and Eichler houses on the San Francisco Peninsula, we instead searched for a house with character. We found it in the form of a bungalow in the Rockridge neighborhood of Oakland.

The big question: did we get more character than we bargained for?

We aren't contractors, designers, architects, or builders. We never thought of ourselves as do-it-yourself-ers. But, our old bungalow had other plans for us. And now we have an amazing 3-year-old, making things even more interesting.
