Historic Indian Village Neighborhood, Detroit, Michigan-annual garden tour June 8, 2013

The historic Indian Village neighborhood is located in Detroit, Michigan.  I have always had a fascination for the area, and the homes are actually reasonably priced!  Also, there is a sense of community there.  Today, the Jefferson Avenue Presbyterian church is having a Scottish Sunday at 10:30AM.  Also, this Monday, the Indian Village Waldorf School is doing a parent-child program for children ages 12 months to 3 years.  These are just a sampling of the kind of activities in the Indian Village area!

Victorian Christmas House, San Rafael, CA

The original victorian home of West End Nursery's founder, Richard Lohrmann, is now open in San Rafael.  The Christmas Home, as it is called in Marin, is open at the West End Nursery.  The more than 100 year old house features a display of 50 elaborately decorated trees, each with a different theme.

The Craftsman B & B, Pacific City, Oregon

I recently read about a sweet craftsman B & B in Pacific City, Oregon, about an hour and a half from Portland.  From the website it looks incredibly cozy, plus Pacific City is still a quiet beach town.  I want to visit this B & B!
