Crocker Art Museum, featuring home of the Railroad baron, Crocker

We checked out the Crocker Art Museum recently and were fascinated to visit the home of Crocker, the railroad baron.  Crocker was one of the original backers of the transcontinental railroad.  The museum is gorgeous and a must see in the Sacramento area!

The Crocker Art Museum is more than a place for objects.  It's a place for tours and talks, film and photography, art classes, and they even have a cafe.

From March 19-June 25, visit the Crocker to enjoy the new exhibition, "Forbidden Fruit:  Chris Antemann at Meissen."

Suspects Dinner Theater, about the historical Delta King Riverboat in Sacramento

The Suspects Dinner Theater is aboard the Delta King Riverboat in Sacramento, CA.  It is docked on the Sacramento River, right in Old Sacramento.  My son and I were having dinner at the Pilot House Restaurant recently, when we noticed people coming down the old, grand staircase and laughing.  They were following a funny, curious costumed character.  The Suspects Dinner Theater is not child friendly and is purely for adult entertainment.  It takes place in the bottom of the Riverboat, where once people in San Francisco would park their cars, and then take the Riverboat on the overnight journey to Sacramento.
